Light shaped by you.
Architecture is not static. It is a continuous negotiation between space, material, and light. Yet, the objects we use to illuminate our environments are often mass-produced artifacts of rigid, linear manufacturing. Studio Nodes was founded to disrupt this paradigm by merging computational design with digital fabrication. We provide the framework - you bring the vision. Our philosophy rests on three core pillars.
We do not sculpt shapes - we write the instructions for them. Our parametric system defines a rigorous mathematical framework - and within that framework, you decide the outcome. Every curve, amplitude, and form is calculated dynamically based on the parameters you set. Through code, we unlock radical personalisation: not a product blindly produced for your space but a geometry you actively design yourself. The algorithm is the tool. The creative decision is yours.
We believe that true design integrity lies in optimization, not excess. Printing exclusively in continuous spiral vase mode allows us to produce interior elements with a single, unbroken wall thickness of just 1 mm. By translating folding principles into additive manufacturing, the geometry itself becomes the structural reinforcement. This eliminates the need for wasteful support material or secondary adhesives, proving that minimal material can achieve maximum structural rigidity when guided by computational intelligence.
The future of design cannot rely on raw extraction. The vision of Studio Nodes is a vertically integrated approach to material circularity, bridging the gap between post-consumer waste and high-end digital fabrication. Our parametric design workflow is specifically developed to process PETG and the goal is to go from virgin PETG to locally sourced, recycled rPETG. Because the recycling loop naturally introduces microscopic variations and structural fluctuations into the filament, our algorithmic surfaces are engineered to absorb and elevate these material impurities into an aesthetic asset. By treating recycling not as an afterthought, but as the foundational parameter of our geometry, we strive to demonstrate that industrial waste can be seamlessly elevated into timeless, high-end design.
